You Disrespecting Me.....?

Well its often been a topic of discussion for many rounds.....the Disrespect Points. The opposite of Respect, a way of showing another player that you really, really don't like them, but you can safeguard yourself from receiving some in return.....send them ANONYMOUSLY!. Now everyone complains about this, usually insulting the invisible man, "be a man", "don't hide yourself", "f***ing *****s". Pretty funny to watch, I mean, you know they aren’t going to reveal themselves right? I mean really you know you will probably never find out who it was unless they want you to do something about it. So why complain? Does it help release some steam? To try and get some sympathy and hope someone will just send you respect equal to the amount of disrespect you received? Or do you just like entertaining the rest of us with your rants?

But really, these people who complain, would do it themselves or already have. It’s just logical really, you want to send disrespect but you don’t want them to end up killing you because of it so of course you would send them anonymously......

For The Newbies....

Gather round little newbies, gather round, that’s right....

I hope you are all paying attention, today Im am going to do you all the biggest favour a player can and give some advice to you all. Now the GN Wiki is located near the top of your scroll bar to the left of your screen. But what I am going to share with you can’t (im assuming) be found there. This will be my own little survival guide to GN so be prepared to take some notes.

So let’s begin:

Names: Really not the most important thing in the world, but names like "gangster2009", "scarface0269" or "50cent" are pretty damn lame in my opinion, in fact any name referring to Gangsters/Mafia, Related Films, Rappers or anything related are pretty lame. "Oh it’s a gangster game, what should I call myself???? ah vitocorleone87" Now I don’t mind if you love these movies or music that much that you would only have a name like that, but having a name like that just because this is called "Gangster Nation" shows lack of real thought. So try and pick something you like, doesn’t have to be spectacular, but something different.

Read The T.O.S.: All the reasons for getting banned are here which is why when you break the rules, get banned then use excuses like "oh I didn’t know are just a bit retarded. You agree to the T.O.S. therefore there are no excuses.

Families: You don’t need one....you paying attention? YOU DONT NEED ONE. Too many of you sign up, do nothing but then post a topic saying something along the lines of "I need a fam". Sure it has its benefits.....some protection, regular income but they aren’t going to invite you just because you don’t have one. If you really want in one so bad you need to do a few things:

1. Prove you can rank fast.
2. Prove you are capable of killing or stocking at least.
3. Show you can make some money on your own (you may have to contribute to the family if you join, and no one likes getting nagged for money).
4. Show you have some reasonable level of intelligence and common sense.

But if you are able to do all of the above, you can survive without a family.

Messages: You only need to send one, there is no chance of them not receiving it, they may accidentally delete it butt if they wanted to know what it said they would message you back. Also while players maybe logged on, it doesn’t mean they are sitting at their computers at that very moment, so just because someone doesn’t reply in about 10 seconds, don’t feel the need to spam them asking them to reply.....gets really irritating and will likely have you shot.

Buddies: Having some is a bonus, get some friends to play or go into chat and speak to people. Messaging someone asking them to be buddies is a step backwards.

Protection: When you sign up, you have 7 days of protection, meaning no one can kill you within that time, but if you shoot someone, then that protection is GONE! But 7 days is a pretty long time eh? Can rank up pretty high in that time, another thing you can do to benefit yourself in that time period is:

Vote: Benefits of voting? Helps the game out a bit and you get 1000 Bullets a day (you have to keep voting), now think about it, 7x1000 = 7000 bullets, plenty for your rank, all you need is the best gun, you set your backfire then your all sorted.

Now with these words of wisdom I send you off into the world of GN......

For The Picmakers....

The cornerstone of Gangsternation, the people who SEX up your profile, make it look all nice and attractive aswell as show that you are probably one of the bigger players depending on the quality of the pics. Now despite this service we provide, picmakers are largely underappreciated "Really?", yes really and I am going to tell you why. Now months before the thought of making pics came into my head, I like everyone else needed someone to jazz up my profile, I message several of recognise picmakers of the round, I was either ignored or told "im busy, maybe some other time" or something along those lines. I always thought it was a simple process, I have the money they want for pics, surely they could do me some, that’s what they do right?
Now fast forward a few months, I get Photoshop, I start practicing, everything’s going well, people start to message me for pics and I am more than happy to make them, helps me improve after all. Several months later im firmly established as one of the best on this little game of ours but I also lost interest in making for other people, why? Two reasons:

1. I was interested in improving myself and venturing into other areas of graphic design so I really didn’t have time to take orders.
2. Players don’t appreciate what they get, you make the effort and they keep the pics for 2 weeks at least then decide they are bored of them and want more.

Bit of a kick in the teeth that, we take time out to make you something for you, you decide you are bored with it or just don’t like it and discard it.

There is more though, the demands. Now when I say I am making someone a pic, occasionally I say I will have it done at a certain time or day, life’s a b*tch though, things get in the way and the pic just doesn’t get done, but if you haven’t paid me anything, do you really you think you have the right to constantly message me (or any picmaker) saying "you said you would do me a pic, where is it?" "Is the pic done yet? When is it gonna get done, do it tonight and ill give you 500k". I think not my friends, I know it seems nasty but its like someone demanding you be on GN on Monday to rank up a few levels, but you cant cause something came up, then you get asked "why aren’t you at rank 15? You said you were gonna be, is it going to take long? Hurry up", all the damn time. Would get a bit annoying.

Now im not saying you shouldn’t ask at all, just be nice about it. If they say No, don’t ask why, don’t beg them, just accept it and ask someone else, still cant get a pic done, just wait a while, theres no rush, you will probably die before you get one anyway :lol:

If they say Yes this means they will do it, when they remember or when they have time, so just wait, if its been over 2 weeks and still nothing a simple "Hey man, its been a while and I was wondering if you are still making me that profile? Hope everything is cool

" - Copy and Paste that into notepad

that would do instead of saying something in chat like "pics? im still waiting for mine, its been ages LOL".

P.S. Check picmakers profiles, it usually tells you if we are making or not, if they aren’t making, don’t message them, simply stuff eh?

P.S.S The players who have requested pics from me the most are Worbex and Marty, they will take some beating, they have been asking for 3-4 years :lol:
